SIMPLE SHORTBREAD

120g butter ¼ cup icing sugar 1 cup plain flour ½ teaspoon vanilla essence 1 tablespoon cornflour Glazed cherries to decorate 1. Preheat oven to 170 degrees Celsius. 2. Cream butter with vanilla essence. 3. Beat in icing sugar. 4. Sift flour and cornflour into mixture and combine. 5. Roll into small balls and flatten with a fork. 6. Place on a greased tray and add a cherry on top. 7. Bake in oven for 20 minutes or until cooked.
