2 sheets of sweet puff pastry 2 peeled, cored and diced Granny Smith apples 1 tablespoon of cinnamon 2 tablespoons of sugar 1. Mix apples, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. 2. Cut each puff pastry sheet into four squares. 3. Place mixture in the middle of each square and fold in half, diagonally. 4. Wet a fork and press down around the edges of the pastry. Rub a tiny amount of water on top and sprinkle with sugar. 5. Place on a greased baking tray and bake in a 175 degree preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until golden. NOTE: Serve with cream, ice cream, custard or just by themselves. Can be eaten cold or hot. Can also add berries to the mixture, for extra sweetness. These apple turnovers can be frozen before cooking. Place them in the freezer on a tray and leave until frozen. Remove from tray, place in zip lock bags and return to freezer until you wish to cook them.
