CREAM BUNS

1 1/3 cup warm milk (can use lactose free) 60g melted butter (can use lactose free) 7g dried yeast 3 1/2 cups plain flour (can use gluten free) 2 tablespoons sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt Whipped cream (can use lactose free) Jam 1. Combine milk, butter and yeast in a bowl and mix. Leave aside for 10 minutes until mixture is frothy. 2. Sift flower, sugar and salt into a bowl. Make a well in the middle and add the yeast mixture. Kneed until a soft, smooth dough is formed. 3. Return to a lightly floured bowl, cover with a tea towel and leave in a warm place for an hour, to rise. 4. Kneed mixture again, punching the air out. Divide mixture into 12 pieces and roll into balls. 5. Spread them out on a lightly greased and floured tray. Cover with plastic wrap and leave to rise for 15 minutes. 6. Place in a 190 degree Celsius preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes or until golden. 7. Transfer to a wire rack to cool, then slice the top, add cream, jam and dust with icing sugar.
